Axxis Financial Planning Ltd is a company of Independent Financial Advisers which can act on your behalf in arranging mortgages. Because we are independent we can access the full range of products from different lenders.
1. Authorisation
Axxis Financial Planning Ltd is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to arrange and effect transactions in mortgages.
2. Instructions
We are not tied to or associated with any financial organisation.
3. Duty of Care and Confidentiality
We are bound by the rules of the FSA and under the general law have a duty of care to you to conduct our business with skill, care and diligence. These Terms of Business neither exclude or restrict your rights granted under the Act or any applicable rules or regulations made under it, nor our liability to you for any failure under the general law or for any breach of the FSA’s rules.
We treat all our clients' records as confidential. No information will be passed to another party without your prior consent unless we are legally obliged to do so.
The Data Protection Act requires that all information held by us is maintained and kept up to date.
4. Money
WE DO NOT HANDLE CLIENTS' MONEY. We never accept cash or a cheque made out to us (unless it is a cheque in settlement of fees, charges or disbursements for which we have sent you a bill).
5. Remuneration
We are happy to be remunerated by one, or more, of the following methods:
• By fees for work undertaken
• By deriving income from commission paid to us in respect of mortgage transactions by lenders. We will tell you the amount of commission payable to us on any such transaction.6. Complaints
If you should have any complaints about the advice you receive, or a product which you have acquired as a result of our advice, please contact the Compliance Officer at the address below. Should you remain dissatisfied you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service details of which can be provided upon request.
Insurance is maintained by us for the protection of clients. If you make a valid claim against us and we are unable to meet our liabilities in full, you may be entitled to redress from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Details of the cover provided by the Scheme are given in a leaflet which we will send you at your request. Further information is available from the Financial Services Authority and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
7. TerminationYou, or we, may terminate our authority to act on your behalf at any time, without penalty. Notice of this termination must be given in writing.
